What are your credentials?

What symptoms do you treat and get the best results?

Many people come to see me for many different kinds of issues involving anxiety, depression, relationships issues, phobias, to clear past traumas and irrational negative beliefs, overwhelm, work dissatisfaction, stress management, family issues, lack of motivation, life transitions and much more.

What’s the difference between therapy and life coaching?

Life coaching evolved out of psychotherapy and was addressed as clients were wrapping up their work in therapy which dealt with imagining their future and how they wanted to move forwards in their life. That said, therapy focuses generally on issue of the past that need to be dealt with and processed so that it doesn’t interfere with your current life and to learn coping skills about how to better deal with life’s challenges. Life coaching is more focused on figuring out what you’d like to bring into your life and how to make those things happen. I use a very structured approach that helps clients figure out ideally where they want to be heading in their life where they feel empowered and motivated.
How many sessions do I need to benefit from therapy?

I’d say generally speaking at least 12 sessions. However, it depends on what your situation is and what you feel like you want to work on. Together when a clients starts therapy with me we identify 1-3 goals we are working on. As our sessions go on we check in to see if they have been reached and if there are any other issues they want to work on. If not, we end and often if something else comes of for them they contact me for some more sessions and so on.

How many sessions do I need to benefit from life coaching?

The way I do life coaching is a much more structured approach and I’d say 15 sessions would take you through the full process. You will leave life coaching with a system of how to manage your life ongoing. You will have the material that can support you for years to come if and when you get stuck, need extra support and remind you of where you’ve come.

How long are sessions and how frequent do I need to come?

A regular session is 50 minutes long. I do one and a half and double sessions which are prorated usually when doing EMDR or family or couples work. This is both for therapy and life coaching clients. Generally, I recommend coming weekly at the beginning to get some good momentum going with our work together. Then, tampering down to every other week or even eventually to once a month if warranted. It depends on the client and situation.

What is EMDR?

EMDR is a technique of therapy used to clear trauma. Just being a human being we’ve all been traumatized at one time of another. There are big traumas and small traumas and they both can create the same kind of impact, irrational negative beliefs that are interfering in your life. EMDR
clears them so you can live your life the way you used to or in a more adaptive way. To learn more read here.

How fast does EMDR work?

Well, it depends on if you’ve had a single incident trauma, like, a car accident, or if you’ve had more complex traumas, like, coming from an abusive family. The single incident traumas clear much faster. More EMDR needs to be done if the trauma has taken place over a period of time generally speaking. A minimum of 5 sessions I would say.

Can we do EMDR if I am a life coaching client?

Yes, one of the unique things I bring as a Life Coach is being able to provide EMDR to my clients. That is because I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist which allowed me to be trained in this technique. I use it with my life coaching clients to clear the irrational negative beliefs that my interfere with them reaching their desired outcomes.

Do you take insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider where my bookkeeper will send you a Super Bill once a month with the code you need to submit your insurance claims to try to get reimbursed if you have a PPO plan. Otherwise, you can ask your provider if they will allow you to work with me and do a special contract to pay my fees.
What are your rates?

My fee is $200 per 50 minute session.
Do you offer a sliding scale?

I have a limited number of sessions for sliding scale and currently they are taken.
Are you taking new clients?

It fluctuates. Currently, I do have a few slots available. I can put you on a waitlist if I’m filled up.
What is the first step to get started?

I recommend setting up a free consultation with me so I can hear more about what you are looking for and let you know if I may be able to help you. If not, I can try to find someone that can.

Are you seeing clients virtually or in person?

I am only seeing clients virtually at this time.
