Parents / Empty Nesters: Short Workshop
Empty Nester Short Workshop
This workshop will address some of the issues that are common for people going through the Empty Nest phase of life and will give you tools you can use to make this transition easier. This group is for any parents who are launching their children, who are feeling stressed, sad, anxious, at a loss, confused, upset or confused about this process. Parents may experience conflict with their child, and want to have this be a more successful transition for both the whole family.
This workshop will teach parents how to enter a healthy new relationship with their child as they are evolving into more of an adult-adult relationship. It will introduce resources that are available to you that can support you with dealing with the emotions about the experience, rather than trying to inappropriately stay connected to the child.
Learn grief coping skills for this process
have ease about what they are going through
get excited about their next phase of life
Learn how to navigate their lives to where they want to go.
You’ll end with a sense that you are not alone. You’ll be able to connect with others going through the same experiences. It will help you recognize that this is a great time to focus on yourself and how to best support your child in the launching process.
